| COLETTE LINTON-MEYER trained at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, England where she recieved her accreditation. Colette has been teaching in New York for the past fifteen years, training dancers of all ages. Founder of Cobble Hill Ballet, Colette is thrilled to bring her knowledge and experience to the community, and greatly enjoys seeing the students grow as dancers over their years at Cobble Hill Ballet. JENNY BLASCOVICH BEST began her training in Nevada and studied with the North Carolina School of the Arts, Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the School of American Ballet, where she was ultimately asked to join the corps of New York City Ballet. At City Ballet, Jenny danced many featured roles including those in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet, The Concert, Interplay, The Four Temperaments and The Sleeping Beauty. Jenny originated in Jerome Robbins' Brandenburg and Les Noces. Jenny is passionate about the Brooklyn community and is delighted to be able to share her experience with the neighborhood. AMANDA BURTON pursued her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Western Michigan University (WMU). Growing up in South Bend, Indiana, she studied at the Conservatory of Dance along with several summer programs including: David Howard, Jose Limon, David Parsons, University of Michigan and Blue Lake Fine Arts Academy. Her most memorable projects at WMU were Balanchine's "Stars and Stripes", Martha Graham's "Steps in the Street" and Jean Coralli's Act II of Giselle. She has appeared in NYC with Dance Catalyst, Ellen Stokes Shadle/DanceWorks, Erin Malley, Amy Adams and Jamie Dowd. Amanda is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and certified Pilates Instructor. ALWYN McCORMICK began her dance training with Sharon McCormick, her mother, at Lake Arrowhead Classical Ballet. She went on to train at San Francisco Ballet School where she had the opportunity to dance with the company. She began teaching ballet to children at the Colorado Ballet School, while she was dancing in the company. She has also taught ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School. Alwyn began teaching at Cobble Hill Ballet three years ago and is excited to be back teaching in Brooklyn. MARIE MORROW has been dancing in New York City professionally since 2006. She got her start with Danscores by Ofelia Loret de Mola and has gone on to perform at BAM with Wally Cardona in 2009 and is part of the original cast of the dance/ theatre adaption for Audrey Nefeinegger's The Three Incestuous Sisters. Her own choreography has been seen in San Fransisco, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, and she is the resident choreographer for Curious Frog Theatre Company. She attended SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory, and was born in Berkeley California. She was the 2008 US Cultural envoy (for modern dance) in Kosovo along with Colleen Cintron. PAM BEYER Pamela Beyer began her dance training as a child with Colette Linton-Meyer, at Coupe Dance Studio. She continued her ballet training at Coupe, as well as several summer intensives including : Pennsylvania Ballet, Houston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Dance New York International; where she studied, toured, and performed featured roles in Burgos, Spain. As a recent graduate of SUNY Purchase College's Dance Conservatory, Pamela is excited to share her love of ballet with young the young children of the community. |
