CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
TWINKLE TWOS : Age 2.5 - 3
Twinkle Twos is a class for those tiny ballerinas! We use props and wonderful music to create a magical experience for children age 2.5 - 3 years old.
PRE-BALLET A: Age 3
This class is an introduction to ballet, using creative imagery to inspire and excite young minds and bodies.
PRE-BALLET B: Age 4
A continuation of Pre Ballet A’s. The children learn to follow more detailed direction and dance politely with their friends!
BALLET I : Age 5
Students will learn age appropriate ballet positions and steps, with a strong emphasis on imagery to make learning fun.
BALLET II : Age 6
Ballet II is a class designed to introduce the fundamentals of Classical Ballet technique. The classes are based on the Royal Academy of Dance Method which is both fun and disciplined. Barre work is introduced.
BALLET III : Age 7
At this level students will continue to focus on correct classical placement and technique. They will continue to develop strength, grace and flexibility, working at the barre and in the center.
BALLET IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X :
Age 8 - 14+
Students' knowledge of Classical ballet steps will broaden. The children will become familiar with the French terminology used in class, and work towards perfecting their technique. Students are placed by age and ability.
INTENSIVE BALLET 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: Age 8 - 13
The intensive Ballet program is for students who are committed to taking class twice a week (or more depending on age). It will focus on strengthening technique and will have an emphasis on focused behavior in class. Correct uniform/hair in a bun is mandatory.
PRE ADVANCED BALLET: Age 14+
ADVANCED BALLET I,II,III: Age 15+
This class is for students with strong knowledge of technique and placement. Class consists of barre and centre work. Trial class necessary for prospective students for class placement.
DEMI POINTE THROUGH ADVANCED POINTE.
(Ballet technique class necessary to do pointe)
Demi pointe is an invite only class, for students in Intensive 7 & Ballet VIII and up. It is for current students who are hoping to improve their alignment and technique.
Pointe classes by invite or trial only.
CREATIVE MODERN : Age 9yrs
MODERN 6: Age 10yrs
MODERN 7: Age 11yrs
MODERN 8: Age 12yrs
MODERN 9: Age 13+yrs
PRE ADVANCED MODERN : Age 14+ (trial required)
ADVANCED MODERN I, II, III: Age 15-17 (trial required)
Modern dance is a free-flowing interpretive style of movement. It's technique and form will be a collaboration of modern pioneers for different ages of student.
PRE ADVANCED/ADV I THEATRE JAZZ Ages 14+ Theatre dance class and Jazz class
ADVANCED COMBO JAZZ II/III- Age 16+ (trial required) A fun class combining Jazz and Modern. Students need to be registered in a CHB Advanced Ballet class.

ADULT BALLET
This is a class that focuses on gaining strength & flexibility. It is an intermediate level class where technical knowledge is required (all be it years ago) It will include a long barre, floor and centre work. Register for a 10 class card or pay per class.
